Terms and Conditions: SPAR 1^st Grader Competition 2026

• The promoter of the competition is Media24.
• The name of the competition is SPAR 1st Grader 2026.
• Competition dates: 13-31 January 2026.
• Voting closes on 18 February 2026 at 17:00.
• Winners announced online on 27 February 2026 on drum.co.za.
• Only children starting Grade 1 in January 2026 may enter.
• Only ONE entry per child (duplicates will be removed; only the first entry and its votes count).
• Prize winners will be notified by the 3rd week of February 2026.
• Parents/guardians entering must be 18 years or older.
• Staff of Media24, SPAR, and their families may not enter.
• Only a parent/legal guardian may enter on behalf of their child. Proof may be requested.

By entering, you confirm:

(a) You own the copyright to the uploaded photos.
(b) All rights to the photos vest in Media24 upon upload.
(c) Your child’s first name and photo may be published on our digital and print platforms for the competition.
(d) The entry and photo may be shared publicly for voting.
(e) Publishing the photos does not infringe your-or the child’s privacy rights.
(f) You may be invited to participate in follow-up marketing features.

General:

• Judges’ decision is final.
• Winners will be contacted via email/telephone.
• Notifying the winner: Media24 will call you three times during business hours. If unsuccessful, a new winner will be selected.
• Participation is at your own risk.
• Media24 and sponsors are not liable for any harm, loss, or damages caused.
• By entering, you agree to receive occasional marketing from Media24/SPAR (opt-out available).
• Personal info will be processed per the Media24 Privacy Policy.
• Media24/SPAR may change, postpone, suspend or cancel the competition without notice.
